Active Pathways & Wellbeing CIC is a community-focused organisation dedicated to improving the physical, mental and social wellbeing of people across rural Northern Ireland.
Through inclusive sport, creative arts and community wellbeing programmes, we create opportunities for children, young people and communities to stay active, build confidence and develop meaningful connections.
Our work focuses particularly on areas where access to activities, programmes and support can be limited due to rural isolation or lack of provision.
By working collaboratively with schools, community organisations and local partners, we aim to create pathways to healthier, happier and more connected communities.
Active Pathways & Wellbeing was established to respond to a growing need for accessible wellbeing opportunities across rural communities.
In many areas, young people and families face barriers to participation in sport, creative activities and structured programmes. Distance, transport and limited local provision can prevent people from accessing opportunities that support their health and personal development.
Active Pathways & Wellbeing was created to help address these challenges by delivering inclusive programmes that bring together sport, creativity, wellbeing and community engagement.
By creating welcoming environments where people feel supported and encouraged, we aim to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate, grow and thrive.
Our mission is simple:
To create pathways that support healthier, more confident and more connected communities.
We achieve this by delivering programmes that:
• Promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles
• Encourage creativity and self-expression
• Support youth leadership and personal development
• Strengthen community connections
At Active Pathways & Wellbeing we believe that everyone should have access to opportunities that support their wellbeing.
We believe:
✔ Participation should be inclusive and accessible
✔ Creativity plays an important role in wellbeing
✔ Sport can build confidence, resilience and teamwork
✔ Young people should be supported to become future leaders
✔ Strong communities are built through positive connections
